Mr. Laxman Perera founder of the Federation Of Wild life Conservation established, February 1996 registered under Ministry of Environmental & Natural Resourses and the Central Environmental Authority [Reg No. 6/6/17/18/07 WTCBO/AO/12-/6).

The purpose of FWC is to conserve, fauna, flora and Natural resourses enable our future generation to enjoy more cleaner, healthier and beautiful environment.

Our organization lounch programmes linking with the Government and private organizations to achieve the Success and to gain more cooperation of general public for conserve our priceless environment.

Message from Director General FWC

The Asian ecosystems support more than half of the world’s population, and biodiversity specially the Sri Lanka one of the biodiversity hotspot in Asia. But there are far from being managed in a sustainable or an equitable manner every where in the region. The diversity, integrity and productivity of many key ecosystems have been eroded significantly, and serious environmental problems persist. Ensuring ecosystem health and conserving natural resources is a necessity for economic development if Sri Lanka is to prosper in to the 21st country.

Federation of Wild life Conservation are work out for alleviate poverty through conservation whilst ensuring the sound management of ecosystems.
